Current Projects

Matt writes, directs, acts, and hosts various projects. The Happy Ghost Productions features his Deep Cutz series, his weekly Real-Life Ghost Stories series, and various shorts and sketches. Simply Unemployable features sketches, web series, live shows, and content for Above Average Productions and Comedy Central Originals. And since everyone has to have a podcast, he has a movie nerd/pop culture show called LATE FEES cohosted by James III.

His short film, SPIRITS, is currently making its festival debut and has already won a handful of awards as well as being Official Selection. It's won BEST FILM at 13horror.com, BEST MUSIC & SOUND at LA Feedback Film Festival, AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD at Anti-Hero Film Festival, and SEMI-FINALIST at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. It's currently Official Selection at LA Horror Fest, Film Invasion LA, Boston International Film Festival, NYC Halloween Film Festival, Shock-A-Go-Go, Spooky Empire Film Festival, Mistress Mary's Film FestEVIL, among others.

His feature screenplay, "At Death's Door" placed in the top 2% at The Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition in both the Horror and Comedy Feature Categories. It was also a winner of best screenplay at the Horror Underground Screenplay Festival and Finalist at the 2023 Nashville Film Festival. His pilot "Late Fees" won the 2nd place Goldman Award at the SWN Screenplay Competition. He's currently shopping his latest feature, "Midnight in the Desert" around for funding in 2024.
